Rabbi Dr Reuven Leigh
Research Associate
University of Cambridge
Reuven is a Research Associate in the Faculty of Divinity (University of Cambridge) on the God, Language and Diversity project which explores connections between the linguistic, theological and ethical dimensions of classical rabbinic midrash, on the one hand, and empirical-linguistic approaches to processes of human language comprehension and interpretation, on the other.
More broadly, his academic work focuses on the intersection of Chabad Chassidic philosophy, continental thought, and modern intellectual history. Additionally, Reuven serves as the Chabad Jewish Chaplain to the University of Cambridge and is actively involved in developing programmes that bring classical and contemporary Jewish thought into dialogue with the wider intellectual culture of the University.
