Research Assistant
University of Edinburgh

Zofia Matuszczyk is a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on multilingualism, religious experience, and moral decision-making, with a broader interest in how language shapes identity and emotional life. Within the God, Language, and Diversity project, Zofia contributes to research on Gaelic and Polish speakers in Scotland, exploring how multilingual individuals navigate faith and ethics across languages. Alongside her academic work, she is interested in making psychological research more accessible and meaningful beyond academia, particularly in the areas of wellbeing and cross-cultural experience.

Zofia is part of the Multilingualism and Religious Experience project led by Prof Thomas Bak and Dr James Eglinton at the University of Edinburgh. The project explores how multilingualism influences religious experience and ethical decision-making, with a focus on Gaelic and Polish speakers in Scotland.
